Import Tax

Increasingly, countries around the world are requiring online marketplaces to be responsible for the collection of import taxes. Currently, Brick Owl collects import tax for orders that meet the relevant thresholds sent to the United Kingdom, Norway and the European Union.

These taxes are only collected when the order is between certain amounts, and is sent from outside the country/union, to within the country/union.

When Brick Owl notices that an order meets the relevant criteria, the taxes are automatically added to the item/shipping prices, and all prices shown are inclusive of tax. This tax is then paid directly to the store, which later pays the tax to Brick Owl. Subsequently, Brick Owl then pays this tax to the relevant tax authority.
